WHY EVERY CHILD SHOULD MATTER – ANOTHER STORY OF OUR SHATTERED CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM
Brenda-Lee was raised in Surrey, BC Canada. She often says that “For the most part, I have lived a charmed life”. She was raised by great parents who taught her the importance of working in service for others, which led to her calling as a foster parent for over two dozen children.
Beyond the opportunity to open her home and heart for children at a time when they needed it, she also was able to advocate for families and children who were struggling with the child welfare system.
She currently works for an NFP which supports youth and their caregivers, who are experiencing challenges around mental health and substance use issues.
She has been blessed with three daughters, three grandchildren and “the best third husband ever!”
