The Journey Back: The many faces of mental illness by September

My life has turned out so wonderfully, better than I could have imagined. My husband, who I love so much, is doing much better now that he has discovered his illness and is getting professional medical help for it. My two daughters have grown into lovely young ladies. I have three amazing, sweet grandchildren and I just adore them. A few years back I was hired on by my local school board and it is a job that I really treasure. I’ve made many wonderful friends there and look forward to the days I spend in my place of work.

Writing my story brought to light all the great things in my life that I can be thankful for. Sometimes when you are going through hard times, it’s tough to see the good, but it’s there. The good is always there, we just need to open our eyes wide enough to see it.
