EVERYBODY DIES: But today is not my day by Vanessa Downer
Vanessa was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. She currently resides on Gabriola Island in B.C. She is currently assisting her father in the day-to-day care of her mother, who has dementia and a type of Parkinson’s disease.
Vanessa is involved in a number of local groups on the Island, but due to Covid and cancer, they have either been shut down (except virtually) or she is no longer physically able to participate.
She has a dog and cat who keep her entertained for hours. Vanessa loves Gabriola and enjoys exploring all the beaches and parks.

Vanessa Downer lost her battle with cancer in 2021 just after the completion of Volume 2. We miss her and are so honored that she told her story in Women Like Me.
